The 4-star "Quality" Sporting Hotel Villa Blu is set on a sunny hill at the gates of Cortina d’Ampezzo, in a location from which you can enjoy the beautiful Dolomites, which were declared a Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO last year, one of the most appreciated tourist destinations in Europe, paradise for those who love skiing, hiking and mountain biking.
Convenient for reaching the nearby ski lifts of Mietres and the public swimming pool with solarium and fitness center, Sporting Hotel Villa Blu is set in green surroundings and protected by a series of old spruce trees, giving it a sense of tranquility less than 800 meters from the center.
In a charming setting, Cortina d’Ampezzo offers you a visit dedicated to relaxation, culture and shopping, thanks to a full season of events and shows at an international level, numerous art galleries, elegant boutiques and artisan shops.
In Cortina you'll be able to see the Baroque facade of the parish church with its gothic bell tower and the nearby Museum of Modern Art, one of Italy's most important collections. We also recommend the Ethnographic Museum, full of everyday objects and folkloric costumes.
Other must-see sites are the exposition space at Ciasa de ra Regoles, the Paleontological Museum, the coats of arms of Ampezzo families shown at the Town Hall and the Ra Ciasa dei Pupe, and the "casa dei bambini", or children's house, covered on three sides with beautiful frescoes.
Cortina is also the only town in the Alpine arch that can boast both an astronomy observatory and a planetarium, which can visited by all guests.
